The company name Knight of New Zealand Ltd reflects the International nature of the business.
Knight of New Zealand Ltd was originally founded in 1972 and pioneered the sheepskin garment industry in New Zealand very quickly entered the export markets developing in Australia, U.S.A  and more recently Europe.

Knight of New Zealand is renowned of its enhanced ability to "customise" garments for their clients, specialising in producing Babylamb Shearling garments using these unique indigenous New Zealand raw materials.
These unique material selected by nature to produce a collection of super lightweight but warm garments for both Ladieswear and Menswear.
These skins, known as Curly lamb in Europe due to the fine natural curls in the wool, or Shearling in the USA, are incredibly soft and lightweight and are an ideal material for making fine soft apparel. Knight's use New Zealand Opossum fur to trim many of the pure 100% pure Cashmere Italian fabric and Babylamb garments.
The New Zealand Opossum are completely wild and not raised in artificial conditions in captivity. Opossums grow a thick winter fur coat, which is used for the luxurious fur trims.

Creating an Knight's individual Babylamb Shearling garment is like making a hand-built automobile, compared to a mass produced vehicle coming off an assembly line. 
This process is referred as "Commercial Craft", as the craftsmanship involved is highly skilled and relies much more on the skill of the person rather than on any specialised machinery.  Only the experienced human brain can cope with all the variances and handling techniques involved in making a consistently high quality garment from a variety of natural materials.
