Forty seven years after John Pay (pictured below backstage at the Scottish Hall) founded Sono Sound Systems as a home business; his two sons Robert and David have picked up the baton and are continuing to expand the business. Thanks to John's initial efforts, the company has built a strong client base, and is now Southland's premier Sound Hire company.
Sono Sound Systems are involved in many regular events, conferences, concerts, shows - you name it, Sono Sound Systems will do it. They are able to provide sound systems, projectors and screens, video cameras, video switching equipment, lighting, laptops, AC distro, live recording of main ? keynote ? and breakout sessions, mass produce CD?s by the following day, flip charts, whiteboards etc. They can handle events from 1 person to 15,000 people, so no matter what size your event don't hesitate to contact them to discuss your requirements. This is a business you have to be passionate about - when the public take their leave there is still work to be done, and Robert, David and their team work very long, irregular hours to ensure every event they work with is a success.
Sono Sound Systems know what good sound is all about. Just a few of the events they have experience with include: Southern Sting home games, Super 14 Rugby, Corporation AGM National Link ups, Drag racing, Primary School Music Festivals, School Theatre Productions, International Acts, Conferences, Nightclubs, but one of the major highlights would have to be the World Premiere of "The Worlds Fastest Indian".
