Southtile Ltd, based in Invercargill, has been supplying the Southland market with field tiles for the past 25 years. It previously manufactured field tiles on site but with the advent of a large fire in 2010 a decision was reluctantly taken not to re build and look at the possibility of importing .

The company is currently bringing in a range of field tiles, from the ever popular 100mmx300mm (4inch) through to the 150mmx300mm (6inch) and 225x600mm (9inch), together with their appropriate junctions.

Field tiles are ideally suited too Southland soil types being made from environmentally friendly clay, which is dried and fired to ensure strength and longevity. They withstand relatively heavy loads, are easily back filled, found, and cleaned and can be removed and relocated.

Floor and Wall

Southtile Ltd is a distributor for the Tile Warehouse and Stone and Tile Wholesale Ltd who are one of New Zealand?s largest importers of tiles. Southtile has a show room with displays of a range of floor and wall tiles in various sizes, covering the full colour spectrum. It also has a show room in South Dunedin at 366 King Edward Street.

Paving 

Southtile Ltd is a distributor of Monier clay paving and Firth concrete paving. The variety of colours, forms and patterns of patterns of pavers will enhance your living environment creating style that is as beautiful as it is practical and permanent.

Pavers can be used for walkways,   driveways, paths, patios, entertaining areas and pool surrounds. These pavers bring to your home a variety of colours including reds, browns, blacks and autumn tones providing long lasting good looks.

Bricks

Southtile has a full range of bricks, from the ever popular 70 series through to 90mm and 110 mm bricks. It is a Distributor for Monier Brick, Canterbury Clay Brick, and Agent for Austral and Midland Bricks.

Of all the building materials available today, none has such a rich heritage and proven history as genuine clay kiln fired bricks which set them apart from any other building material. They area truly maintenance free cladding which cannot rot and remain singly unaffected by the ravages of the elements. Clay bricks provide better thermal insulation keeping interiors warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

The company is also supplies concrete bricks which are manufactured by Firth Industries.

Southtile Ltd is a distributor of concrete roof tiles, supplied by the Monier group. They come in a variety of colours and profiles with an up to 50 year product warranty
